Ryan Williams better known as Gutta Tek is a native of Pompano Beach, Florida. Son of Ronnie Williams a former hustler and Frenda Williams a hard working mother, Tek moved around a lot throughout his life providing the opportunity for him to be introduced to gang life.
Although having a promising career in basketball, Tek ended up in boot camps trying to get his self together and stay out of trouble. After becoming one of the only freshman on the Flower Mound High School Varsity Basketball Team, Tek would later find himself in court for theft of a firearm and assault charges.
Only serving 12 out of the 15 months in T.Y.C he was released and moved back to Florida with his mother, just to end up in the streets hustling. Robbery and Drug Charges soon followed giving him a sentence of 3 years in prison at the age of 18.
While serving his time, new charges for Extortion and Drugs would give him 60 days in solitary confinement, which helped throw him into his music and take it seriously.
Rapping on the recreation field and in the dorms Tek grabbed a lot of people interest with his real life and word play scheme. Winning numerous talent shows including “The Rawest Solo Rapper Alive”, he started realizing that this was something positive that he could do and stay out of trouble.
Upon his release in 2010, he moved to Houston, Texas were his rapping skills caught the eye of a small time label, helping him to do shows with Lil Young from Swisha House to Gutta Gutta from Young Money.
Due to misunderstandings with the label, Tek began to take full control of his career. Getting his own studio, original Stunt-n-Dozier beats, and passing out his first mix tape, he’s become a local success taking his career to the next level.
