The Smokin’ Purple Monkey Gang are a Windsor based 4-piece, Classic Rock & Roll Swinging party band.
The band was formed in March 2011 by Bassist Michael Pindus, seasoned musician who has played with various local bands, along with newcomer to the scene Mike Hiller Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, The creative Guitar styling's of Lonnie Boose Lead Guitar and Vocals, the heavy hitting Drummer Mark Steven, and last but not least Cin King Vocals & lead Tambourine With a mix of original and cover tunes and the outlandish live show antics have been hailed “a must see act.”
Featured on the Rock Indie Show 100.7 FM in September 2011 interviewed by the Rocks own Theresa Leslie, The Smokin’ Purple Monkey Gang has generated a lot of interest with Windsor’s Downtown Venues, and surrounding towns. Performing at The Milk, Villains, The Room, South-Wood Hotel, Lions Head, Rock Venue, Canusa Bar & Grill, The Dugout, Foolery's, Charly's Bar & Grill, UPG, Club Alouette, The Dungeon, La Rocca Tavern in McGregor, A & A in Bothwell, Mr. Biggs in Belleriver, Moose-Head Lodge, Turf Lounge, Carperelli Sound Lounge.
The Monkeys also are involved with benefits and charitys such as Relay for Life, Bandfest, Dippolosa, Balloonapolosa, all are annual events.
With a dedicated fan-base the party is always in full swing while the Monkey's are performing.
