The Nighttime Adventure Society is a rollick 'n roll band and the new project of singer/songwriter/guitarist Laura Zax. They make music and mischief. The Nighttime Adventure Society grew out of Zax's previous work as an indie-folk singer-songwriter who gigged up and down the East Coast and playing such venues as New Haven’s famous Toad’s Place and New York’s indie folk hangout Sidewalk Cafe. After her first international appearance at the World Expo in Shanghai, Laura spent 2011 revamping her sound, changing her musical alias and act, and clandestinely releasing an EP--Chapter One: The First Chapter--under the name The Nighttime Adventure Society. Songs from that EP have appeared on NPR online, have received radio airplay on Delta Air and have appeared in a Sally Hansen commercial. NAS is currently recording their first full length release with producer Michael Okusami. It's slate for release in early summer 2012.
