WEB: http://DriftinSouth.com ~ Nearly 20 years ago, two brothers (Aaron & Eric Burden) who were tight friends with two brothers-in-law (Michael Mosley & Jeremy Boldery) formed a quartet that became what is known today as The Driftin' South Band (The DSB). Reunited early in the year 2013 and following an 8-year hiatus, the guys quickly picked up where they left off. However, they found that much of their original material had evolved, seasoned. They were thrilled. With a renewed passion to finally combine their early works into a collection on an album, The DSB went to work practicing and jamming together in Michael's living room.
However, since The DSB is a band of songwriters, they discovered an abundance of new material at their disposal. They immediately realized the need for a sanctuary in which to craft, so they constructed a practice space in the country. After a few jams together in what became known as "The Temple of Tunes" they are happy to be announcing an album of revamped songs from their youth along with great, new material sometime during 2013!
Currently, the band is promoting a t-shirt drive to raise funds for the studio. Available now is a classic Collector's design for the first ever Official band t-shirt that will never be duplicated beyond the first pressing; a design that captures the essence of the multiple genres of sound that comes from the band. The design is classic rock, it is country and it is southern rock, blues and everything in between. The shirt is as Americana as the band, which is as Americana as their followers, who the band likes to call Drifters. The future is bright for The DSB & Friends.
