Lewisland / Bio

Lewis was born in Lagos, Nigeria and now resides in Italy. Already at a young age Lewis was influenced by artists his parents listened to like Barry White, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Phil Collins, Michael Bolton and Kenny G.
Lewis states that the music culture in Nigeria limited his way of thinking and seeing music in general. "Nigeria is a beautiful country but she unfortunately has a poor taste for Rock, Jazz, Blues and many other music Genre, So moving to Italy was a total boost to my Song Writing and Composition" Quotes Lewis.
As a teenager my gift for melody came through listening to bands such as Westlife, Backstreet Boys, Avril, Shaina Twain, The Corrs, Bryan Adams and The Goo Goo Dolls. These artists helped me build a strong foundation for a more mature style of music and Song Writing.
I started playing the piano when I was 7 yrs old. While still taking piano lessons, I grew more interested in trying out other musical instruments! At age 14 I got my first Acoustic guitar, and later I passed on to the drums and the bass guitar. And I started writing songs at age 15.

Bands that influence me are: The Goo Goo Dolls, Stereophonics, Mr. Big, Savage Garden, Howie Day, Sixpence Non The Richer, Alex Band (The Calling), M.Y.M.P. ,John Waite, Kings Of Convenience, Edwin McCain, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Richard Marx, Eric Martin, Daryl Hall, Hall & Oates, Tears For Fears, Jamie Cullum, Coldplay, oasis, Keane, Needtobreathe , Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, vanessa carlton, Ryan Adams, Staind, Aaron Lewis and many others :)

Hope you like my music!
Thanks for listening! :)
