I am a mexicat/composer/singer living in Chicago. I started with piano lessons at 6 and learned a lot from my artistic family and inspired by my own great grandfather Juan S. Garrido to become a musician myself. We used to listen to him play for hours sitting at his living room. He was always killin' with that old Stainway and Sons Grand Piano. Later on, I decided to study music in a "serious" way. I have a degree in classical contemporary composition with teachers such as Mariana Villanueva Conroy, PhD (btw) and Arturo Márquez. I also studied Opera for a while at the National Conservatory of Music in México City, under the direction of the great Mexican soprano Irma González (RIP). Currently, I am living in Chicago playing a lot of electric guitar and learning, performing in local concerts and social events, I am still writing Music and also performing with The Christian Larumbe trio. Czech it out!
