Steve Stewart has been a musician and entertainer for many years. He has been crowned the Terry Awards Entertainer of the year, Band of the year (his band "Spirit of the West") and Artist of the year. He has two solo albums "Brazos" (1986) and "Give Me A Sign" (1990) both released on Rodeo Records. "Give Me A Sign" was voted 1991 album of the year By The Terry Awards and Fort Worth Weekly. His songwriting skills have earned him two number one songs on the Indie charts as well as a Christian Country Music Awards nomination for song of the year and first runner up in the International Song Writing competition. Stewart plays Lead and rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums. Stewart is a songwriter, musician, producer, engineer, arranger and band leader all rolled in to one! Stewart has played Bass, Lead guitar and sang harmony for many major country acts including MCA Record's Lloyd David Foster and Audiograph record's Sammy Vaughn as well as the Lead guitar player and harmony vocalist for the Country Music Association's 1982 & 1983 "Female vocalist of the year"Janie Fricke!
Steve brought his own band back to life in May of 2011 after getting calls to fill in cancellations at a few nightcliubs. The musicians Steve put together on short notice amazed the club owners! He is now in their regular "rotation".
