The Resurrection is a Metal band formed in New Castle PA in the Summer of 2009. The Resurrection consists of former members of the bands Shattered Soul, Frontline Legion, Two Sides and Curse of the Ugly. The influences of The Resurrection range from Pantera, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden to TOOL, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zepelin. The Resurrection's music is a combination of Black Metal, Thrash Metal and Death Metal combined with Blues, Hard Rock and Funk. Unique, erie singing and demonic growls along with brutal/melodic guitar riffs, intricate solos, thrash/funk bass riffs and an innovative, energetic drumming style give The Resurrection an original sound.
Band History: Even though The Resurrection is a newly formed band, they are not new to the music industry. Several members of The Resurrection have opened for such acts as Cradle of Filth, Nile, God forbid, DRI and Soilent Green. Some of the venues in which they have played include The Aggora, The Odian, The Metropol, The Niabingi, 31st Street Pub and Club Laga.
Discography: Currently, The Resurrection is working on completing their debut album: "God strike me down" which will include 10 original songs. The theme of each song differs, focusing on the downfall and ignorance of humanity. From "2-4-2" which describes the twisted intensions of a noted serial killer to "Christ Killer" which describes a nation's way of justifying mass murder in the name of God. This album will be sure to hold your attention from start to finish.
