..This album is what would happen if jazz fusion maestro Pat Metheny were reborn a New Age Brazilian-intricately-layered melodic compositions executed by an extra-extra-ordinary guitarist. Movements, however, are not unsettling fusion, but flow between a jazz sound and New Age. it's joyously upbeat adult fare. It is also not boring as so much smooth jazz churns—er, turns out these days, but finely wrought, intensely intelligent orchestrated vistas of artistic vision and musicianship. There's so much to hear that one's head almost spins with the magic of it. That the occasional vocal element arrives clothed in the romance of Portuguese only enhances the aural experience.
