"Hard work done." On stage, in rehearsal, and across the country, this philosophy drives Herd of Watts, a 5-piece jam and funk (or "junk") band from the southeast as they share their music and energy in electric live performances. Good fortune, discipline and dedication have afforded the band opportunities to support and play with nationally-touring acts, fueling a virtuous cicle of inspiration, delivery, and resolve. Fellow artists and appreciate audiences have built a solid following in Northeast Florida, which continues to grow even as the band hits the road, making new connections through traditional means and social media.
Inspired by a diverse array of artists ranging from The Black Keys to James Brown to The Grateful Dead, Herd of Watts will continue to fuel their momentum, releasing a self-titled EP, touring regionally and taking the stage in a number of 2014's spring and summer festivals.
Herd of Watts is Ben Strok (guitar/vocals), Sean Thomas (bass/vocals), Corey Peterson (tenor saxophone/vocals), Matthew Strok (keyboards/vocals), and Jamal "Music City" Wright (drums)
