BIO: While not really considering herself a singer, in the singer/songwriter category, she has a sweet voice and can carry a tune just fine. She's looking for better singers to contract with, for demos. She is a member of ASCAP.
Katy has been busy doing oil painting, and metalwork, and writing songs, not necessarily in that order. She studied under students of the late Russian Impressionist Master Oil Painter, Sergei Bongart. She has painted oils (the easiest of mediums) for 20+ years and the music/ guitar/ songwriting is rather new--learned to play guitar, 3 1/2 years ago. And started writing songs, 4 1/2 years ago. She has come to specialize in open tunings.
Intensively creative, she moves up the ranks rapidly, inspiring others to be their best. She is a visionary vortex among people and causes changes for the better even though rather shy.
As an art student, she was one of 14 students selected for a field trip to Paris, France. There, she was inspired by the real colors in paintings in the Orangerie, Pompador, Muse D'Orsay, and the Louvre; her favorite of the many museums she visited..
She lived in Mexico, during part of 2009 and 2010 and wrote another 20 songs for guitar. She occasionally teaches art, and considers sound just to be another great medium for our souls to bind joy to us.
"I was a classical pianist when I was young. Now I make music, in multiple genres and make art and love it all so much. I hope you like it as well. I come to music with a bachelor's degree in art, and now I paint with sound, also. I wish you could see the videos in my head that go with the songs.....may be something more to pursue.. think I'll make a movie, (with help from friends)." You can also find me on Whotune.com.
(Please pardon the rough recordings for a while...I'm working on it. You are welcome to come back and see the improvements, as I can get them.
