H E N R I : DANCING UP THE CHARTS
Great songs all begin with the voice. A wondrous instrument that is impressively powerful and equally vulnerable, a singer's voice can shatter barriers by transcending musical genres and industry trends. For rising songstress Henri, that gift-coupled with a success-driven spirit-is allowing her to develop, and maintain, a reputation as a first-rate artist.
Henri is already giving us a taste of her soulful capabilities. Her infectious remake of Cher's "When You Walk Away," authored by Diane Warren, peaked at No. 23 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic charts for Hot Dance Club Play in 2006. Following the success of her kickoff single, Henri secured the No. 5 position for Billboard's Breakout Artist.
The rich-voiced songbird enjoys having her second tune, "Some Girls," receive generous attention from DJs and fans across the globe. The track-a 2004 smash in Britain for S Club 7 alum Rachel Stevens-reached Billboard's No. 6 spot for Hot Dance Club Play and recently skyrocketed to No.1 in sales on PerfectBeat.com, a subsidiary of the Santa Monica, California-based Dance music retailer. Mixed by the renowned Norty Cotto, the bubbly, pop-tinged cut boasts a sample of the Blondie classic "Call Me." And it's here that Henri demonstrates stylistic versatility as lighter, softer vocals flow naturally over laidback, mid-tempo rhythms. Emphasizing that mainstream crossover is definitely a projected goal, After 12 weeks on the charts, "Some Girls" remains in the Top 20 and was featured in DJ Times Magazine-the foremost monthly publication for professional DJs-as the most added record for reporting pools.
Henri’s most recent Billboard Hits include “Push the Button” produced by the notorious Dave Aude in 2008 and “I Wanna Be Your Baby” vocally produced by The Alumni Group and remixed by Eddie Amador and Nasty Habits in 2009. Henri's previous works are under the management of Jason Dauman, CEO of the independent label Dauman Music in Beverly Hills, California.
Henri is currently part of the Nite Vision Entertainment Team, a full service entertainment company founded by CEO Gary "Devon" Dotson. NVE specializes in all genres of music and has acquired international credits with various placements and continues to write for various artists and licensing endeavors. Through international licensing projects, NVE has formed relationships with many companies including; MTV, MTV2, Fuse, Vh1, Telemundo, TLC, OWN, Bravo, WEtv, CW, Lexus, New Music Live, Style Network, Lifetime and many others. Henri is proud to be a part of an amazing group of talented artists and looks forward to creating more chart topping hits.
