Formed in the hills of Petaluma Ca,
The Highway Poets merged with a band known as Hillside Fire,
and began fusing their garage rock sound with folk instrumentation
and soul inspired song-crafting. In the past 5 years they have recorded 3 full
length albums (2 under Hillside Fire),
toured the southwest and west-coast extensively,
and have shared the stage with many nationally acclaimed acts.
On a quest for anything that is real and pure,
these four boys and their music continue to grow
through their hard work and travels, and they don't plan on
slowing down anytime soon...........
What people have been saying.......
"What a fun and fresh sound. Easy on the ears, Engaging. If Johnny Cash, Mumford & Sons, and Joe Cocker got into a bus accident...The Highway Poets would be the product of that crash. They are humble and hungry for recognition. They'll get 'there', no doubt."
— Ryan Spain, The Bohemian
"the Highway Poets have incorporated their Crazy Horse-style jams in with their bluegrass setlists. Whatever they choose to play, they'll do so expertly...."
--- Gabe Meline, The Bohemian
"Banjo, fiddle, and mandolin blend with guitar, upright bass and the occasional ukelele for a fresh sound.......They might have to quit their day jobs."
--- Press Democrat
"The band excels at writing songs that have a familiar pop-rock sound with a dash of utter originality."
