My name is Scott Reichard and I’m a solo classical guitarist and composer with an expanding repertoire that covers parts of five centuries. In addition to classical guitar, I enjoy playing many styles of music, from jazz to popular music.
In 2005, I moved to Los Angeles to attend Musician’s Institute. During my year at M.I, I studied with Grammy award winning classical guitarist and composer Evan Hirschelman. The time that I spent studying at M.I with Evan has been an invaluable and life changing experience.
Since relocating back to Chicago in 2006, I’ve briefly studied with Franco Platino, Denis Azabagic, and currently, I’m studying with Jonathan Roth. I have experience playing live in many different situations, including solo classical guitar, various rock groups, and the Prairie State Jazz Ensamble, where I won an award for Most Outstanding Player in a community college jazz contest in 2008.
