Beretta was created by two brothers (Paul and Jaime Mora) as well as two friends, Oscar Lopez and Daniel Gonzales. The idea was to bring a different sound to what is currently in the Spanish Rock scene. With most music being indie and electronic based, Beretta wanted to return the purity to Rock while at the same time injecting sounds influenced by each member’s musical taste. Along the way, Juan Pablo De Anda was asked to join the group and Beretta was official. This quintet from Salinas California was on its way to create music that would leave a lasting impression on every listener. Unfortunately, Daniel decided to leave Beretta to pursue other goals. After some consideration and readjustments, the band decided to give Juan Pablo the reigns as vocalist and bring in one more guitarist to boost its sound. Aurelio Barajas, a longtime friend of the Mora Brothers, was asked to join Beretta and with this formula the members would embark on a musical journey consisting of thunderous drums and bass, a wall of aggressive guitar riffs, and a paramount of dynamic vocals. A couple months of practice and hard work passed by; the band was feeling good and confident in what was evolving. After many gigs, radio appearances, and an EP released in 2011 (Descarga), Beretta continues to work hard and make music that will hopefully one day reach everyone’s ear.
