Carolyn Fe Blues Collective offers up the Blues in all its shades, full band or acoustic trio/duo setup. Carolyn Fe Blues Collective has the unique ability to serve it's audiences with highly charged emotions. Their original material and cover songs served up with their special touch brings the audience to feel the sweet purity of love's first kiss to the raunchy edge of a woman scorned, all the way to the tease of languid sexiness.

Bringing old elements of the blues along with a newer eclectic mix of various musical styles, Carolyn Fe Blues Collective is not your everyday 'Blues Band'. This indie blues band is raw, real, and with captivating energy the audience is immediately drawn into a live show of the unbridled enthusiasm as the band exudes thier love of playing. Cashbox Canada dubbed Carolyn Fe Blues Collective as the Evolution of the Blues. The Blues Report's Blues Underground states that their music “ain't your grandfather's blues and that Carolyn Fe Blues Collective is not one to stay in the box when dealing with the Blues”

Carolyn-Fe Trinidad (yep, that's her real name) possesses the deep soul of an artist who has lived on the fringe for most of her life, and made the most of it as the true innovator she is, giving her music and lyrics an insight and depth that cannot be imitated and must be heard. She writes and produces original material that contains lyrics with highly charged emotions that only the Blues can surrender – from extreme loss and anger to love-gone-bad or the languid sexiness of a hot summer night. From the sweet, purity love's first kiss to the raunchy edge of a woman scorned, all the way to the tease of languid sexiness.

Backed by veteran musicians who’ve played with the likes of Percy Sledge, Fat Boy Slim and Seal, the band composed of Dan Legault (drums), Rami Cassab (guitar), Tim Alleyne (keyboards) and Oisin Little (bass) delivers phrasing that evokes deep sensations from the begging for love, the hard-core-in-your-face of truth denied or the dreamy allure of pure seduction. With each live show, they win over the hearts of new fans adding to their loyal following.

Their award winning 2nd CD “Original Sin” was launched to packed houses on two nights in August 2011, this independent blues band continues to establish its presence in the Canadian Blues scene, as their songs get regular airplay on radio stations worldwide. Their first CD “100%” (released in 2009) joined the play lists of various online and on-air radio stations worldwide and continue to receive positive feedback as the songs remain alive with the addition of new tunes from their recent album.

The follow up album to their award winning “Original Sin” features a Pan Asian collaboration with Shun Kikuta on the title track, BAD TABOO. Mr. Kikuta formerly the guitar player for Queen of the Blues, Ms. Koko Taylor and dubbed “The Asian BB King” by BB King himself, left Chicago and now resides in Asia. Quebec's own Guy Bélanger adds his touch on the harmonica to two songs, “Life's Just That Good” and “Whole Lotsa Trouble”.

If you are finding your Blues all sounding the same, turn the page – look at, and listen to Carolyn Fe Blues Collective as they keep pushing the envelope of the Blues, breaking your Blues boundaries and knowing that Carolyn Fe Blues Collective will always deliver something old, something new, nothing borrowed but the Blues.
