Back in early 2011 Brazilian rock guitarist Eddie Brandoff decided to leave his hometown of Sao Paulo to spend six months living and performing in Austin, Texas. During that time, heavily influenced by the old blues players, he felt it was an ideal opportunity to put aside his much loved Gibson Les Paul, pick up a Resonator and try his hand at playing some slide guitar, not the easiest of skills to learn, however, patience and talent combined soon saw
him comfortable with the technique.
During this time it occurred to him that there could be a place in rock music for the Resonator guitar and with this in mind he began writing songs ready for his return to Brazil, the plan to form a new band was born.
Now creating a new band is never an easy thing to do at the best of times and as with all bands there has been a change in line up once or twice and busy periods interspersed with fairly long quiet periods, however, the first single, "Broken Bones", released September of that year was very well received in the UK and US, getting regular airplay in both countries.
Their sound has been described as a mixture of BLS, Alice in Chains and Skynyrd but actually, they just sound like Razonator , Southern Rock with a twist of metal.
Reviews and interviews have all been very positive and full of praise for the band and the gutsy music they produce, the Rebel Pride EP getting a big thumbs-up from Roadie Crew rock magazine.
The last single, "Prayer of Road" again got a good deal of airplay with a lot of interest being shown over in the UK and Europe which is always a great thing to have.
So, now the band is in the process of being reformed with plans of live gigs and an album in the near future.
