Formed from members of the hard-touring Prabir & The Substitutes and self-descriptive The Awesome Few, The Trillions promises to deliver a familiar punch with an unheard style and sound.
The Offenders: Charlie Glenn is singing lead and playing guitar, since upon last playing his piano it burst into flames. Chris Smith brings another guitar and voice into the mix, along with his customary "mini-windmills." Robbie King plays lead-bass (no, really), and Joe Ferguson plays a really big drum kit.
The Trillions are endeavoring to forge an unusual and yet approachable concoction of music. They mix together Pop instrumentation and Rock/Punk volume, then suffuse it with composition and voicing more common to Classical and Romantic music. This mixture is served in helpings of 2 to 4 minute songs and garnished with harmonized vocals and science fiction lyrics. The band also brings along their latest experiments with Tesla-esque electromagnetic stage lighting to fully delievery an intense and ruckus filled stage show.
