Kill Whitey first slayed tracks in April of 2011 when singer Mike Williams (The Bearded Bastards, Pick Ax Preacher) and guitarist Bill Causey (Strength and Honor, Dinner Date) joined forces to thrash. Setting a goal of playing Mike's birthday bash, only weeks before their first gig, Steve Pagucco (Cell Shelter) answered their ad for a bass player. Their latest addition, drummer Travis Yoakum (Heart of Gold, Tex Watson), approached the band in March of 2012, hoping to replace their original drummer, Ernst Peterson, Jr. (Pick Ax Preacher, Like London on Acid), as Travis heard Ernie was leaving the band.
The first demo, Drink, Fight, Fuck, featured four tracks, including a cover of a song by The Misfits, Death Comes Ripping. Their second release, their debut album, is self-titled, Kill Whitey! A demo version of the album was released in April of 2012, in conjunction with their first video, Burn Shit Down, but the official release of the fully mastered album was released in March of 2013.
In June 2011, Kill Whitey played the Detroit Live Metal Exposure Show, and they went on to win a spot on the Dirty Dozen show. In October 2011, Kill Whitey opened for the Misfits. April 2012, for the premier of their video, they played Motor City Nightmares, which featured known horror stars like Bill Moseley (Devil's Rejects, House of a 1000 Corpses), Kane Hodder (Friday the13th) and Captain Spaulding (Devil's Rejects, House of a 1000 Corpses). In September 2012, the band headlined Dust Fest, and author Marisa Williams, who toured on Ozzfest in 2002, asked Kill Whitey to headline her 100th book release party.
Playing regionally in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, the band continues to headline shows and thrill audiences. Known for antics like tampon shots, the band has been known to soak tampons in alcohol and pass the plugs out to crowds at their massive bonfire parties in the country. They've done everything from drenching themselves in blood, to bottle rocket wars and skull smashing on stage.
