area fifty-one is a four piece rock band based out of Windsor, Ontario. Their music relies heavily on great melodies, vocal harmony, and rocking songs from start to finish. The band consists of Dave Antonuzzo on lead vocals, Brett Humber on guitar, Sparky on bass, and David Allan on drums. The band has been together for fifteen years and played over 1500 shows. Highlights include opening slots for the Matthew Good Band, Edwin & the Pressure, 54.40, Big Wreck, and J.Englishmen. 2002 saw the release of their second album two tone waxy. Since its release 1200 copies have been sold, it has been played on Detroit, Canadian and college radio (89x,94.7,94.3,cjam, 100.7), and positive press has been rolling in. The area fifty-one experience is not complete without seeing them live. The full energy stage show, competent music interplay, and crowd involvement, all garner favorable attention With the bands ability to satisfy any audience and leave them wanting more, they have traveled to play shows in Toronto, Sarnia, Michigan, London, Chatham, Grand Bend and the remote Pelee Island. With Dave's vocal ability and entertaining frontman ability the live shows are not to be missed. Guitarist Brett operates his own recording facility and has a background in production. This allows the band more time to create in the studio environment.
