Formed in August of 2007, Panda Circus began their quest for world domination in Ben's parents' basement. After four months of furious preparation, they played their first show that New Years Eve in the most logical of places: Wichita's own Jeep's Motorcycle Club. As the only non-metal band on the bill, they somehow managed not only to survive the encounter but to actually evoke merriment from the leather-clad crowd. It was then they knew that some god out there somewhere had decreed them incapable of failure.
Three years later, we find our heroes finally getting around to releasing a proper album, and what a doozy! The Panda Magic Happy Fun Show is replete with hopped-up, heartfelt hoedowns distilled from decades of delicious pop. If you have 45 minutes and nowhere to go, it's the perfect soundtrack for driving there. Plus, it was produced by The Esoteric's own Eric Graves, so you know it sounds good with the volume dimed.
So do yourself a favor, kids, and get thee to a Panda Circus show! If you regret it, you haven't learned that regrets are for pansies yet. But seriously, Caroline, Travis, Erin, Ben and Quinton all solemnly swear to sweat their asses off making your night awesome.
