William “W.I.L.L.” Bowen, was born and raised in Mill Valley, Ca. which is located just north of the Golden Gate Bridge (the SF Bay) in the county of Marin. He grew up listening to his father play the drums day in and day out, so it was no surprise that he fell in love w/ music @ an early age. While attending the local middle school, he became fascinated with hip-hop, and began composing lyrics while in the 6th grade.
At the age of 18, W.I.L.L. moved to Redding, Ca. Overcoming many of life’s trials and tribulations, W.I.L.L. continued to hold his head high. From being incarcerated in juvi, and eventually the state pen, to becoming a respectable/successful musician and businessman. He has proven to respectfully overcome every obstacle in his life to make him-self a well known, & honest name, amongst his community.
In 2002, he clicked up w/ two other artists in the area and formed Poverty Flat Records, releasing an album entitled “MENTAL HEALTH” (W.I.L.L. ( I.D.), Grahve, A-Yum, & Pretty Tone). The company split up in 2004, due to business differences.
After leaving P.F.R., W.I.L.L. decided to found his own company. In early 2005, he created “Ritten Reality Records", which he owns and operates.. Also releasing his debut solo project entitled:
In 2006, he released his 3rd project, a group called, “The Ruggles Brothers” w/ fellow artist JJamz. In which they give tribute to two of Shasta County’s most famous outlaws, John & Charles Ruggles, who were wrongfully hung back in 1892.
2007 he released, "The Keyser Soze Mxtape" (4th album). With excerpts throughout the album taken from the movie, "The Usual Suspects", W.I.L.L. focuses on the character from the movie, "Keyser Soze" dishing up a darker side of W.I.L.L.'s thoughts...
In 2010 W.I.L.L. released his 5th album/3rd solo project, "The Human W.I.L.L.". In which he continues to deliver a unique hip-hop style based on real life experiences. With songs like "Let It Go", "Not Real 2 Me" & "Survive Like That" this album will bring u into the world of W.I.L.L. & the rest of the 530.
2012, A collection of unreleased & rarely heard material entitled "In The Meantime... The Unheard & Underheard", is released. His 6th album. Featuring collaborations w/ slew of artists, First Degree the DE, Mr. Kee, Grahve, The Vocye, Morgan Rockey, Dott Smith, Mr. Ocean & many more. Including the hit single & video "Count On Me" ft. First Degree The DE.
