The Paperboats have had a pretty good year so far by anyone's standards.
After being hailed as one of MTV Portugal's hottest revelations for 2012, their debut single 'Curses' reached and remained in the Nº 1 spot on the MTV official TOP 10 for an incredible 8 consecutive weeks. The video as voted by viewers generated thousands of views and votes in a short space of time rocketing the band to first place and also making them the artist with the most online feedback to date on the MTV site.
The debut album ‘Surviving The Flood’ has been a huge success and pure example of just how far into the mainstream an independent release can venture, ultimately topping various national charts by achieving sales and downloads matching international artists. The album spent 9 weeks at number 1 on the Vodafone music download chart and recently entered yet again into first place.
The effect was phenomenal, leading to electrifying concerts and performances throughout the country and Europe as well as confirmations at this years Sziget Festival in Budapest Hungary (voted Europe’s best festival ).
The Paperboats were formed by front man and main songwriter Paul Da Silva (Vocals/Guitar) from London, UK, with a voice described as '...crushed glass wrapped in velvet...'

'Surviving The Flood' was recorded at Voodoo Lounge Studios in London with producer Thomas Johansen, and mastered by Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound Studios NYC.
