"All rock n' roll was meant to be fun, pure and simple, that's the bottom line", says singer/bassist Mini Mendez in describing the vibe of The Glimmer Stars. Mendez, along with bandmates Mark Schrock (guitar), Paul Sanchez (guitar), and Tony Snow (drums), have been writing and gigging for more than a few years to say the least. In 2005, the group delivered their self-titled debut on their own Candy Bang Records. The 11 song, 30 minute offering was a declaration of power-pop that was both tough and sweet. In 2009 came the band's second full-length, the limited edition Desperate Years as well as the companion EP, Divine And Enshrined. The band's latest EP, Lay The Real Thing On Me, is a stylish, star-dusted offering that will no doubt renew your faith in rock n' pop roll. Enjoy!
