The Circus in Your Town is an innovative experimental rock band from Everett, WA. With an array of effects and guitar tunings, TCIYT is opening audiences' eyes and minds to an original musical concept and sound. Although TCIYT employs a variety of fresh ideas, a root of simplicity keeps the music accessible to listeners of all ages and musical tastes.
This unsigned band has been making music since 2002. TCIYT’s music has been played worldwide starting with their Self-Titled release in 2006 and continues to be played globally with their most recent 2012 album titled Full Spectrum. In 2010 The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences placed TCIYT on the Official Ballot for the 2010 Grammy Awards.
TCIYT is a two piece band drawing musical influence from bands such as Nirvana, The Melvins and Tool. They are also heavily influenced by the people in their lives like their own personal relationships, stories about friends and family and of course the occasional crazy current news story.
In 2012 The Circus in Your Town released their 2nd album titled Full Spectrum. Full Spectrum started at Fast Back Studios in Seattle, WA and finished at Vortex Studios in Mukilteo, WA. TCIYT took a very raw approach in the recording process of this album. Full spectrum has a really up beat flow with a great live emotional feel to it, just like the bands powerful live performances.
For 2013, TCIYT is booking shows and pushing the new release, Full Spectrum, while working on new music and for a future album.
