The Vega-Mifflin Band / Bio

The Vega-Mifflin Band is Louis Vega and David Mifflin. The two have been playing music together since 1981 in various forms and bands. They formed The Vega-Mifflin Band in 2004 and began writing and recording the music that eventually comprised their first CD shortly thereafter.

Acoustic shows are performed, based out of San Antonio, Texas. Genres flow through classic rock, country, country rock, alternative, folk, and blues . Sets include an eccentric mesh of originals and covers, classic songs and obscure choices.

Both musicians have wide ranges of individual and common influences. Influences range from Neil Young, Los Lobos, Indigenous, Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Earle, Johnny Lang, and Dawes to The Beatles, Eagles, REM, and Pink Floyd. Their music is truly unique and genre crossing.

The Vega-Mifflin Band has released their second CD, "A Moment." The Cd presents solid rock alongside country rock and alternative acoustic offerings, all powered by intelligent lyrics and stirring musical arrangements. The Vega-Mifflin Band released their debut album, "Those Days Are Gone" in 2009. Both CD's are available at CDBaby.com, Amazon/Mp3, ITunes, and Rhapsody.

Both CD's cross genres of Rock, Country Rock, Blues, and Adult Alternative as they weave their way through guitar music - acoustic and electric.
