Christina Marie Magenta (CmM) is an American industrial rock band based in Northern VA. CmM consists primarily of composer and professional model Christina Marie (vocals and electronics) and her brother, guitarist George Weidner. The 1st ablum Burn was released 2011, album Poison released 2012. A 3rd album is on it way and will release July 2013. Plans for a 4th album are in the works and we plan to release it 2014. Several songs from both albums can be found on the video game RockBand 3, TV, Movies, radio and more
Every song started off as an electronic mix on Christina's laptop. She then brings those songs into the recording studio. There she works with other musicians to bring the song to its finial stages and onto the CD. Although she plays the drums in her free time, she does not drum on the CD. She carefully chooses every musician for each song based on their style and skills, to help with the natural flow and direction she wants the song to go. That's the reason so many people are on the cd in different songs. Christina has been writing music and modeling since she was a young girl. The song Snake is a version of a song she wrote when she was 15. She went to college in Virginia for business and business law, and at home has studied music and herpetology for many years. Originally she spent years recording an album called Rebuild in a studio in Portland, Oregon; but in the end all files were lost in a flood. She gave up on music for several years until one day she saw her son making music. She realized the importance of being a strong and positive role model, and decided to start over in a new studio. With powerful motivation, and a new team of musicians, her 1st album Burn was completed in a few short months.
George is a guitarist and an official band member for CmM. He has helped with writing lyrics and guitar on many songs. He is best known for his work on the song Red Crayon on the album Burn. He also plays violin but was not the violinist on the albums. Before he dove into his music career he was a former hockey player and has multiples degrees in mechanical and automotive technology. Outside of the music world he is most known for his success racing motorcycles.
