Lost Nobility were formed by Simon Duffy in 2010, one time bassist of the cult punk rock group ‘Ultra-Violent’ signed to Riot City records in 1982. Simon Edwards owner of Riot City stated in the book’ Burning Britain’ a history of Punk 1980-1984 (Ian Glasper) that the Ultra-Violent single ‘Crime for revenge’ was his favourite Riot City release, his desert Island disk. Not surprisingly the single had a very powerful edge to it having been engineered by Colin Richardson at Cargo Studios (Rochdale). It contained 3 songs which have been used on various Punk compilation albums over the years including ‘Death by Hardcore’ – A speed metal album released in America.
Simon went on to form the band 'Sure' and work with Tony Swain.
Lost Nobility is Simon’s latest project.
