PaulKrost (Paul Washington Croswell Jr.), a Christian rapper, born in St. Catherine, Jamaica and spent his childhood years in Portmore, Jamaica. Paul's father was shot and killed when he was two weeks old. As any young man without a father would, He sought for manhood among family members and media influences. At age 8 Paul migrated to Miami, Florida where he resided with his aunt and uncle rotationally; this was where he acquired a strong taste for rap music and culture. During this time in Miami, Paul visited various churches with family members, both love mingled with curiosity for Christ inspired Paul to get baptized; though not fully understanding the decision made, he considered himself a Christian at age 8.
At the Age of 11 Paul's mother and two sisters migrated from Jamaica to Miami. Shortly after the family was reunited; Paul along with his mother and two sisters moved to Irvington, NJ, where he would later call home. In the 7th grade Paul and his best friend Lloyd were invited to be apart of "Get It How You Live It Records", an offer they graciously accepted. However during this period, Paul religiously attended a local youth group, where he began to learn more about the decision he made to become a Christian. This new found knowledge of Christ created an inner struggle, followed by convictions of his lifestyle and music. This struggle continued until sophomore year of high school, when Paul decided to completely commit to Christ. This meant giving up a once embraced secular lifestyle, as well as secular music. Unfortunately, crossing over from secular music to christian rap, was more difficult than anticipated; Paul soon realized that there was a continued struggle within leading him to living a double life.
During his junior year at Irvington High School, Paul was admitted for a minor surgery to remove his Gall bladder. Complications however, prompted two additional minor surgeries, as well as a major surgery. After spending over a month in the hospital with multiple ICU admissions, Paul realized that his double life needed to end. At the conclusion of what could be described as a 'grueling episode of his life'; Paul began seeking and longing to draw closer to Jesus Christ, Savior and Lord. He was both ready and engaged to begin, continue, and complete the work Christ called him to. Currently, Paul is a Young Adults Leader at the church he attends, and a passionate minister of the Gospel of Christ -through teaching and music. He is currently working on his mix tape titled "Project Streets: Block 1" (PS:B1).
