Donna Chula Bebe Casey, aka BrowneyedChula aka thepeacewithin, is but one of a few last no holds barred poets left. She is a lyricist and songstress from the below the Mason- Dixon, but has travelled the nation over singing and performing her God given work since the age of 12. Chula grew up in an era where Jodeci was making all the honeys wish they were forever someones lady as the craze of BoyzIIMen, H-Town, R.Kelly and TLC swept over the nation. She's seen first hand the effects of drugs and fast money on loved ones far and wide and took each lesson and tucked it safely in her heart. Chula is a realist but also spiritual. She credits her late Uncle James Brown (not the famous one, seriously is his birth name though) and her father for her undeniable talent and drive.
Chula has wrecked havoc on heads from Wrtten Images, to The Dead Poets Society all the way to Soultry.org respectively. She was also apart of the now disbanded Rhythm-N-Praise from 2002-2006 where she performed alongside her singing mates for Bobby Jones Gospel in Las Vegas. Still her heart dug deeper into countless books by Alice Walker, and Henry Dumas, and dozens upon dozens of albums by John Coltrane, Sade Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more. Her poetry sings to your soul in the midnight, and caresses your mind into relaxation, and right when you think she's finished she belts out a note to make you snap your eyes open and reach for your piece, cause she erupts what you thought once was into what it truly is a damn shame! She blends jazz and tropical influences such as the late Celia Cruz into her prose to encourage the rhythm in all of us. Azzzzzzucar!
Tammy Jones, aka PoetrysChild, is a poet, author and spoken word artist from the Silk City of New Jeru. She writes poetry that is supposed to leave you uncomfortable enough to want to go out and do something to make a change in the world no matter how small. Tammy Jones plays with words in a prolific way that will make you look at everyday life differently once you finish checking her work out. She has mastered her style of conscious word play and flow. Her goal is to one day bring you to a place where you can meet Shakespeare and RUN DMC on the same stage through grammar and music being merged into her unique style pen named Hip Hope. Tammy is also a member of the second largest poetry organization called the New Word Order and Prysmatic Dreams, which she is a proud member.
She also flirts with production from time to time and has decided to take it more seriously and will be seen on audio projects in the future. She did produce a Whispered Words Poetry Mix for the N.W.O. called What Happened To Hip Hop CD 2 and was co-recipient with Max Parthas of a 2006 Muse Award presented by Prysmatic Dreams and she also produced tracks for the Tupac Mix: “A Last Wish”. In 2006, she had her first book published called “Floetry of the 3rd Eye” through Publish America and her second book came out this year on 3/21 called “Everyday Stories” and a third book completed and waiting to be released called “Something’s In The Air” through a publisher to be announced. Keep an eye out for this prysmatic gem because she has the potential to shine in the darkest corners of your mind.
So the dynamic ladies are together again finally after several collabos, and cyphers over the years to bring you : Methodical Rage, wordsmiths rooted in the truth and imploring a nation to wake the fuck up!!!!!! Peace and Love
