Katelyn Duran, a 20-year-old singer/songwriter is a fiery mix of pop with soul influences. Her rich unique radio tone and marketability has attracted the attention of producers and songwriters nationally.
Growing up on a small farm in Pennsylvania never stopped her from pursuing her dreams outside of the hayfields. In 2009, she won the Wake
Up Your Dreams teen vocal competition with her rendition of “At Last”. From there she recorded with Walt Maddox, lead singer of the Marcels. She had the opportunity to appear on “The Timmy Willis Show” and open up for “The Duprees” at the Palace Theatre. Katelyn also achieved the status as an All-State musician in 2011.
Being a cross-over artist, Katelyn recorded her first EP in New York City titled, “Heart On My Sleeve.” It is on sale on any digital music store. She has been featured on Scallywag and Vagabond, Flair Affair, TFC Talent, and several blogs. Her patriotic track, Waiting For You (War Song), received Top 40 recognition in Soft Rock, April 2011 on ourstage.com. She was also a featured artist on ReverbNation, which reaches millions of people.
The response has been strong, as she has developed a loyal fan base. Demographics of all kinds relate to her music and have nothing but positive reactions to her words and melodies.
Currently, she is studying Finance at Penn State University. She is songwriting and networking with professionals while building a reputable and loyal fan base nationally. She is ready to bring a new era of class and talent to the industry and audiences internationally.
