Mike Bader has been described as "a real deal blues player, with a soulful edge." With stinging lead guitar, soaring slide and powerful vocals, his three releases have received critical national and international acclaim. "Judging by the syrupy notes that drip from Mike Bader's guitar and his gravel moan, the Montana bluesman's tunes have more to do with the power of music and backyard barbeques," says one reviewer.

The veteran bluesman's new release "Worldwide Blues" is opening the door to a broader audience of music lovers. Performing chiefly at festivals and special events, Bader plays a unique mix of original blues-based roots music with meaningful lyrics, and the music is danceable and inspiring. He is ably backed by veteran musicians Stu Garney on bass, Valley Lopez on drums and keyboardist Ryan Maynes.
Mike Bader began playing music in the early 1970s, hooking up with nationally known recording artist Craig Erickson in 1971. He performed live with Erickson in several bands for 10 years before moving west to the northern Rockies. After a hiatus, Mike returned to active performing in the early 1990s, playing several shows with his brother Dave's band Flat Cat. Mike Bader has fronted his own blues band for the past 14 years, including several tours.
Frequently gracing the stages of northwest festivals, Bader has directly opened for many award-winning major acts including Taj Mahal, Tommy Castro, Carlos Del Junco and other notable musicians. Bader's debut album, Clearcut Case of the Blues, was named one of the top U.S. blues releases of 2004 in the 11th Annual Real Blues Awards. Both Clearcut and the followup "Matches My Feelings" have received critical acclaim in the U.S. and abroad. With his third album he has hit a new high in both material and performance.
