Danē (pronounced "duh-knee") Wyler is a singer, songwriter, actress and dancer who was born in South Carolina to a very musical military family. After moving to different areas in Hawaii and California during her early years, her family finally took root in New Orleans, Louisiana. Once her mother realized the talent that Danē and her sisters had she began holding practices in their living room for performances on the streets of New Orleans' French Quarter. Most of her childhood was spent singing in various groups and local churches along with her sister, SeVon B. In her high school years, Danē formed the dance group Classified, with close friends and successful professional dancers Anthony "AJ" Jackson and Marquita Washington, to hone her own dance skills for future solo singing endeavors. They competed together in many talent shows and events helping to establish Danē as a dancer as well. Danē went on to study Criminal Justice at Eastern Kentucky University receiving her Bachelor's of Science. While in college, she was a member of the Christian Neo-Soul band, The City Limits, which released the album, "Connected" in 2007. The album created a mild buzz with the local Christian community and helped her to build her confidence when performing. Upon completion of college, she decided to pursue a solo career in music. She moved back to New Orleans to work on her songwriting and performing ability doing various shows and even traveling briefly as a background dancer with Capitol Records Recording artist Keon Brihm. She then relocated to Georgia and then Norfolk, Virginia, as she began developing her acting ability as well. Danē has now added acting to her resume after being cast in this year's production of the stage play, "Mama I Wanna Be Delivered", produced by Lady Charles Productions. She is also the co-writer of two of the songs for the production. She has also been recently cast in many other productions including a commercial, the TV pilot "Precinct 757", "Blood Sisters: The Musical", and "Purpose: The Movie". She is a member of two local bands, 2nd Wind Jazz Band (opened for War and Stanley Jordan) and The MVP Band (opened for Cameo), a Funk and Old School R&B outfit. Nothing will stand in her way as she has all the tools she needs to succeed. With a vibrant personality, dance moves anyone would envy, comedic timing, and an angelic voice that soothes the masses she hopes to entertain you and make you think at the same time. Danē's dream collaborations include artists such as Prince, Ryan Leslie, Chaka Khan, and Sade. Danē is also exploring the possibility of having her own online comedy show where she could explore the comedic characters she has developed over the years. Her debut single "Goodnight" released on August 1st, 2013 has received international recognition with airplay on radio stations in Australia, UK, and US. Look out for her first EP, "Rhythm of Heartbreak", to be released in late 2013.
