Flint Blade & Honeydew create soundscapes infused with uplifting messages of empowerment. The clarinet and Chapman Stick duet tour the southeast United States this September in support of their brand new independent release entitled “Together”.
Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with a penchant for improvisation, Flint Blade is best known for playing the Chapman Stick, a guitar/bass hybrid instrument played by two-handed tapping. Born and raised in south Florida, Blade tours nationally and is a prolific recording artist. In duet with clarinetist Alison Murphy, the two exhibit delightful sonic chemistry. Their unusual pairing of instruments unite classic and modern elements with a stylistic flair of ethereal psychedelia.
Together they released their self-produced, full-length debut “Love Light” and embarked on the countrywide Summer Love Tour. Their sophomore release, the five-song EP “Together” sees them exploring their musical realm ever more boldly, defining themselves in sharper resolution with a conciseness that plays to the ephemeral, infinite nature of existence itself. Their supporting regional fall tour promises passionate performances and a few surprises while the duo continue to live their art anew each moment.
