When the single “I Still Miss You” dropped into the iTunes store a new artist was born into the Texas/ Red Dirt Music Scene. Ryan Ready, native of Pilot Point, TX had just made his first strike in a ever growing industry of songwriters. The smooth tones in his voice set him apart from his fellow songwriters and with his honest and punchy lyrics he has all the qualities of a timeless artist that is sure to capture the hearts of all his listeners. Ryan’s true love for Christ, his family, music and fans is even more of a reason to give this “good ole boy” artist a chance to grow in our hearts, record collections, and radio stations!
“I just want to touch people with my lyrics, melodies, and emotions just like Merle Haggard has done for me” says the 25 year old songwriter.
Unlike the pop country you hear on the TOP 40 Radio Stations don’t expect Ryan Ready’s music to be anything other than what is real and true to him. As a songwriter Ryan write’s about the things that folks like you and I can relate to.. No songs about being a country star, rolling around in the straw, or honky-tonk badonkadonks will ever flow from his tongue and six string. Growing up in a middle class family that struggled off and on to sustain a good living, Ryan was subjected to a life that most country music fans relate to. It's an honest trait which you will find in his lyrics, sound, and style.
Ryan got his first taste of the spotlight at the early age of 10 when he had a role singing in a christmas play. At the age of 16 and a sophomore in high school Ryan started a rock band with a few of his peers from his class. The unnamed band performed at the varsity football pep rally’s and his junior prom. Suddenly, an average kid with hardly any known talent at all became recognized amongst his peers. Then at the age of 18, Ryan picked up the guitar (self taught) and began writing his own songs. He formed his first band that same year and made a name for himself as he played local bars and country club ballrooms in his hometown and surrounding areas. By the time Ryan reached 24 years of age he had played the honky tonk dance hall circuit across Texas. But the multitude of what seemed like endless hours of stage time and having to perform cover songs from Top 40 artist began to stand in Ryan’s way of becoming a recognized songwriter and vocalist... So, Ryan set off again this time solo acoustic to try and deliver his own music to Country Music Fans.
Ryan Ready has opened shows and has gained high honors from artist such as Stoney Laure, Wade Bowen, Cody Canada and The Departed, Seth James, Phil Hamilton, Eleven Hundred Springs, Rich O 'Toole, Austin Cunningham, Mando Saenz and many more....
