We have been paying our dues on stages in the Midwest for over a decade. Our 2010 release, Boom, was well received by listeners in the US and in Europe. Boom showcased strong songwriting, strong hooks, muscular rock'n roll guitars, the lush organic sounds only a Hammond Organ makes, and a rhythm section that drives like a locomotive. Some of our peers called us the best rock'n roll band in Minneapolis; some called us an unknown gem in the local music scene; but everyone agreed that the Martyrs were a band to pay attention to if you are a serious rock'n roll fan.
Currently we are promoting a new EP that was recorded in lush stereophonic, Neve-alicious sound, entitled "You Should Know". The new release raises the bar for rock'n roll made in Minneapolis with more great songwriting, in-your-face guitars, and a band that just won't quit.
