Enjelique is a 17 year old classically trained pianist, songwriter, singer, producer, and dancer who has established an impeccable record of academic excellence and exceptional musical performance. On of her most exciting projects is an upcoming motion picture. Her recent performance of an original song at the University of Miami inspired film producers to create major motion in which she will play a staring role. Enjelique’s has a long history of song writing and performance. At the age of 6 she astonished her teacher by composing songs that won superior ratings at her first National Music Guild entry. Enjelique was privately trained by Russian prodigy, professor Nadia, where she and performed Fur Elise by Beethoven
at age 7. From there she was accepted into the Ocala Piano Conservatory and studied with Harvard trained instructor, Leslie Hammes. Enjelique was chosen to represent the best of the Conservatory in various performances for 5 consecutive years. She studied with the Miami Piano Conservatory with Julliard child prodigy, Dr. Jay Hess. Enjelique and is currently studying classical piano with the Miami Piano Academy and is one of the most advanced performers. Enjelique has received two music scholarships from the esteemed Coral Gables Music Club for her performances of classical and original music in 2011 and 2012. She is a member of the Youth Preparatory Program at the University of Miami where she was a guest performer helping to raise money for Haiti relief as well as performing at nursing homes, elementary schools and churches. At her grandfathers funeral she performed her original song “Love From The Soul” before 2,000 people in Jamaica at age 8.
Enjelique values academic and personal excellence and wishes to be an example of the Race to the Top. She aspires to study music at Harvard and own a music/media production company. Her goal is to be a source of inspiration and encouragement and to help break down stereotypes and raise self-esteem with her own new project the self “S” Team. Her elaborate instrumentals and heartfelt ballads is how she plans to share her thoughts and feelings with the world.
This fall Enjelique won auditions to be accepted into New World School of the Arts - the “Fame School of the South”. Eight girls out of 1,000 applicants are accepted into each magnet. The vocal audition for Chorus requires you to read music, be evaluated for pitch and tone as well as have a well- rounded knowledge of classical and contemporary music. The Musical Theatre audition is an intense three- day process. The potential students are evaluated by college professors and industry professionals for proficiency in dance, movement, ballet and modern. They are evaluated for knowledge of theatre, monologue, improvisation, and personality. Enjelique was accepted into both performing arts magnets, which is very rare. She chose Musical Theatre because it encompasses her vast interest in music, drama, storytelling and stage performance.
