Bob Goldberg - Accordion / Bio

I've been making music in public for more than 20 years, much of that time with accordion as my main axe.

I don't specialize in one style or tradition, but choose freely from a wide range. American Roots music, Italian and French folk and pop, Klezmer, Basque, Irish, blues, rock, reggae, jazz, zydeco, tango, classical and modern. I've done Bach, Ellington, Copland, Rossini, Kraftwerk, Tiersen, Paolo Conte, Moondog, Beatles, Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, the Ramones and TV theme songs, for solo accordion and ensembles.

No request is too unusual, and I do my best to make it memorable. I would be glad to discuss your interests and needs for any event.

Most of the tracks here are solos. "La Noyée" and "Papere e Papaveri" are accordion duos with Carl Riehl; "Sway" features Claudia Chopek on violin.

Bob Goldberg leads the Famous Accordion Orchestra, and has been a member of the bands Washboard Jungle and Le Nozze di Carlo.
