On the day of October 15, 1980 a star was born to Reginald Craig Holland and Vanessa Smith of Suffolk, VA. Growing up in the era when Hip Hop was in its rawest form, rap music had a strong influence on this future artist.
At the age of 15, Reginald Cross BKA Prime Minister started to take notes from local artist he would hear perform at talent showcases. Groups such as Dark Sunz, Lumba Jacks, Bony and the Crime Syndicate, who later became known as Wu-Syndicate had a direct influence on Prime Minister. Soaking up these musical influences, not only local, but some main stream artist as well. Recording artist such as Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Mos Def, Common, Jada Kiss, and Wu-tang where the heavy hitters of the music industry when Hip Hop was Hip Hop.
Now with a solid and firm knowledge of music, Prime is ready to take the globe by storm with his mix tape entitled “The Day of Atonement.” When asked why he named the mix tape “The Day of Atonement,” Prime responds, “It simply stands for THE DAY OF SATISFCATION.” And that’s exactly what people should expect from this project.
From a young adolescent to a developed lyrical monster, The Prime Minister is ready to take on whatever Obstacle is bound to be thrown his way…
