Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Marvin Marcellus is an ambitious song writer, music producer, and band leader. He currently resides in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
Marvin grew up in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. His mother passed away at when he was 8 years old. Cancer had taken her life. At age 14, his family moved to Northeast Philadelphia. He attended Northeast High School for two years. His favorite subjects were English and Social Studies.
At the age of 16, Marvin lived in Miami, Florida with his grandmother for two years while attending Miami Central Senior High School. In his free time he wrote poems, listened to music, and eventually began writing lyrics. He became popular in school for going up against other writer’s to see who could deliver the best lyrics in front of a crowd at lunch time. Marvin wants to follow in the footsteps of American soul singer James Brown (1933-2006) and singer, actor, producer, and director Frank Sinatra (1915-1998). Those men were able to successfully use the medium of music to entertain the masses. They also made smart business moves to keep control over their lyrics and wealth.
Today Marvin goes by the stage name, Ceaser Live Soul, for his commanding stage presence, lively delivery, and his soulful expression. Over the past 4 years, he has toured the Mid-Atlantic United States and the Dominican Republic. On April 19th, 2014, Ceaser will perform his first arena-sized concert at the Wells Fargo Center with his band, the Live Soul Crew. They are headlining the pre-game concert for the Back-to-Back American Conference Champion Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Team.
The best is yet to come for this young producer, Marvin is currently pursuing an Associate of Science degree in Digital Audio Production at Montgomery County Community College. He plans to transfer to the Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing at Temple University in 2016. He will be the first in his immediate family to graduate from college with a professional degree in the US.
