Nick Samuels / Bio

Award-Winning rock songwriter Nick Samuels’ compositions have been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV, Bravo, TLC, DIY, Nickolodean, and Sony Playstation providing the soundtrack for over 70 programs including "The Real World,” "NFL Football on CBS," and "Switched at Birth." After years spent honing his craft as the principle creative force behind Mid-Atlantic rock band Numa, Nick's talents were fully recognized when his song “Like a Bruise” was chosen as a winner in the 16th Annual Billboard Magazine World Song Contest beating out thousands of other entries. The song was put on rotation on various satellite and FM radio stations from DC to San Diego and the band rocked legendary venues like the 9:30 Club and The House of Blues Myrtle sharing the stage with bands such as Avenged Sevenfold and The Violent Femmes. Following Numa's split in the winter of 2010, Nick has kept himself busy writing songs that display an increasing pop sensibility without losing his signature guitar sound and innovative lyrical perspective. That hard work paid off when his solo composition "Shooting Star" was named a Finalist in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest in 2013. Nick is currently playing shows around the DC/MD/VA region as a solo artist and continues to push boundaries with his own unique style of blues rock.
