here are some things that shaped the person i am and the music i make, but also things i don't want to talk about in detail. still i feel like a backdrop to the music is important.
for the beginning of my life i lived in Amish country.
we then moved around a lot. i liked to sing along to classical music in my moms car.
she liked to listen to "car talk"
my first favorite music was the La Bamba soundtrack.
my mom raised me for the most part by herself, she worked in the kitchen at a home for mentally ill adults, and we lived there in a house beside the main building.
another place we lived was surrounded by corn fields.
as a teenager i stayed up a lot of nights and contemplated how i was going to impact the world in a good way.
i spent a lot of time worried, but i was pretty happy for the most part.
i am a closet feminist, and a deeper closet equalist, welcome to my closet, now let us sing of these things!
i have always been incredibly confident and ridiculously nervous.
i moved to the city kinda young and my whole world fell to sh*t.
i became really sick for 6 or so years.
i'm good now.
Oh also, all the songs i play i improvised, and then learned them off a recording.. brain vomit.
