She was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, the Los Angeles area of California. However, she has since transplanted her roots in Greensboro, North Carolina; a move recounted in the titled track of her critically acclaimed CD, 2,666 Miles. She grew up in a large family where music and singing was a central part. She found her niche in singing and acting in junior High School. Earning numerous awards in Oratorical Speaking. She continued pursuing drawing and singing lead vocals in several bands during High School earning the title of Most Talented in her senior year. She deferred singing after High School for college marriage and the baby carriage. Since the release of her CD she has been devoting her time to writing better lyrics and collaborating on song writing projects and developing her own business to which a single Stayin' Power was released, earning her a nomination for Best Soul and Blues Female 2011 by the Jus Blues Music Foundation.
