What ever happened to good music? This is a question I often ask myself when I listen to the radio. Growing up in Minneapolis, MN I was subject to gangs, guns, and all the recipes needed to make a reality television show. Out of it all came me, Ratez King. My stage name is Lesean Devonn, also my middle name. I was born on December 14th,1990. In all my years, I have had the privilege of being a member of one of the best hiphop groups in the world. My group, known as Young N Famous, is representive of not only an image, but a way of life. All over the world there are people aspiring to be something or someone. I aspire to be successful in the music business as an artist or a writer.
What many people may not know about me is that I have a long history with music. When I recorded my first song, I was about 6 years old. During my middle school years at Sheridan Global Arts, I participated in many artful performances, as I sang, danced, and played various musical instruments. Amongst them all, my favorite is the piano. I like the piano because it's a classic instrument and I'm a classic person. Its sound fits to my style and genre of music. My brother and I used to play live music and that may be why we developed a musical understanding together.
Being part of Young N Famous means a whole lot because we are all family. We grew up together and we understand one another. Many groups lack chemistry, but that isn't to be said about us. What we do musically comes as easy as 2nd grade math to us, but in its complexity, is as hard as graduate level psychology. We are dedicated to making good music that others can relate to. Our music is based on personal experiences, relationships, and lifestyles. We pride ourselves in being different and having the ability to incorporate modern themes into our music.
What is there to say about Young N Famous that hasn't already been said? We're young and talented artists with unlimited potential, the name just says it all. We have promotional mixtapes and a bunch of unleashed material that's just waiting to be heard by our fans. Although we get compared to other hiphop and rap groups, Young N Famous has its own lane. We have a bright future in the music industry and we look forward to meeting up to the hype around town; word to the u-n-i-verse.
