From Charlotte, North Carolina, the band tries their best to keep modern rock alive; having a similar sound to bands like, 12 Stones, Red, and Three Days Grace. The band released their debut CD, Walk Away, on July 7, 2012 as an independent recording. The E.P. was produced, engineered, and mixed by Michael Pepe, Mastering done by Dave Harris at Studio B, and recorded at Corona Studios in Charlotte. The band has had two acclaimed tracks including "Imperfections" and "Black and Blue" which helped propel the band to #1 in all voting categories at the 2012 Ernie Ball and Rockstar Energy Drink Battle Of The Bands for Simpsonville, SC Something Clever has shared the stage with national acts such as Sum 41, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Saving Abel, Set It Off, Mark Slaughter, and more! Not to mention they have the perfect blend of powerhouse vocals and dynamic musicianship as well as a live performance that rivals many touring bands.
