Fadia Mosri / Bio

Singer-songwriter Fadia Mosri is striding along in her fiercely independent musical path. The Los Angeles-based recording artist released her solo debut self-titled album in July 2012 to critical acclaim. She had the opportunity to work with accomplished musicians Alex Acuña, Hector Pineda and Miguel ‘Bife’ Provenzano in shaping her unique sound. The collection of nine-songs showcases Mosri’s sonorous vocals backed by a wide array of influences.

The first single “Esclavo y Amo” is an adventurous, risk-taking cover of a Javier Solis classic that blends Mediterranean melodies with pulsating Reggaeton rhythms. In addition, Mosri’s music continues to infuse Latin alternative styles with rock ballads and poetic lyricism.

Born in Sonora, Mexico, Mosri’s musical identity is a direct reflection of her upbringing. When she was a young girl, her grandmother would sing boleros when spending time together. Of Lebanese descent, Mosri would also listen to Arabic music with her father such as Syrian virtuoso Farid Al-Atrach. She added to the eclecticism present in everyday home life by developing interests of her own in rock, trova, and various other genres.

Immigrating to Los Angeles in her teen years, Mosri was able to reconnect with the musical passions of her youth and later truly dedicate time and effort into becoming a polished singer-songwriter. In 2006, she agreed to join Taller Sur, recorded an album together with them, toured various cities on both sides of the border and was nominated in the Best Latin category for the annual Orange County Music Awards.

Embarking on her solo career, Mosri’s self-titled album has taken her through major Spanish-language media outlets as her music receives airplay throughout Latin American. She has performed and been interviewed on Azteca America’s “Aca Entre Nos”, NBC Telemundo’s “Buenos Dias and Acceso Total” and Univision “Primera Edicion” morning show just to name a few.

Mosri has also played live before diverse audiences at the International NAMM Show in Anaheim and in Lynwood for Fiestas Patrias at Plaza Mexico. She also had the opportunity to return to her native state of Sonora in October 2012 for various tour dates and media appearances on Televisa and Radio Nacional.

In support of her debut, she has also released widely viewed music videos for “Esclavo y Amo” and “Se Me Cayó el Corazón.” With cross-generational and multicultural appeal, Mosri is living out her musical dreams as an independent artist cultivating a loyal fan base with every note and melody.
