Poor Man's Fame / Bio

Bringing music to the masses, Poor Man's Fame is a female fronted band from the Carolina's that combine heavy rifts with powerful vocals in a style all their own.

Poor Man's Fame wasn't always an original band. They started as a cover band in late 2010 covering everything from Audio Slave to Mudvyane, all with a Chick Singer! They covered what they liked and had a ton of fun doing it.

In 2011 Poor Man's Fame made a promotional cd with their versions of some of the songs that they covered so they could market themselves. They uploaded their demo in several places online and were contacted by a label scout from Capital and were asked about writing their own material. Given they had over 3 hours of cover material the thought hadn't really come up. So they idea was tossed around for a while. In spring of 2012 they decided to give it a shot and they headed to Atlanta, GA. There they recorded their first original "All or Nothing" with producer Alex Rexroat of Universal Recording Company which was mixed and mastered at Pendlewood Studios. That single landed them a 2 year recording contract with private label Public Records. The single also grabbed the attention of other veteran musicians that inquired about doing some collaborations.

In spring of 2013 Poor Man's Fame went back to the Atlanta studio to record their 1st album, after several member change ups. On October 22, 2013 Public Records released their Debut album "Tell The Story". Prior to the release of the album the group dropped their a single from the album, "Narcissistic", along with it's cinematic video as a teaser to the album.
