The Riffs were a punk rock n roll band that existed for a short time in New Orleans. The band consisted of James Jones on lead vocals and guitar, Justin Comiskey; an absolute maniac on drums, and Corey Clifford laying down the bottom end. They took off strong with a set of complex and dynamic rock n roll tunes with elements of punk, ska, reggae, polka, metal, and dub and played along-side some other great Nola acts such as the Vapo-rats, Pallbearers, The Unnaturals, Sci-Fi Zeros, The Lollies, and many more. Within a year they had built a following of wonderful fans and friends in the New Orleans area and were touring the gulf coast. But the band ended as suddenly as it began... The subject matter of the songs written by a sober James tell the tale of his demise.
We would like to thank everyone who was there and supported us throughout the process. And if you weren't around we hope you enjoy the music. Please excuse some of the lower quality stuff, we never finished our album but we feel that its still worth listening to.
