Erik Schmidt started playing guitar in his college years at Boise State University. After learning how to write music, he moved down to play in the late 90s/early 2000s Sacramento rock scene. After playing with the bands Trust, Wetfinger, and The Substitutes he took a hiatus from music and moved up to the Tahoe area to settle down.
But restlesness over took him and formed the band Burn Pile. Tagicaly he lost a finger in an accident and switched to bass. Then after a move to the "South" started recording songs with his brother who formerly fronted the Sacramento metal band Juggernaut. This project was called Knife-Switch. But the urge to play live burned inside. So he formed the Greensboro NC cover band Oktober Sky. After a year Erik stumbled across a local band named Early Morning Warning who needed a bass player. With Early Morning Warning he played continuously around the south, and recorded a 4 song selft titled EP and the full length album "DEVOLVE". After a 3 year run, Early Morning Warning called it quits. Shortly after the split, Erik reunited with EMW guitar player Daniel Habib, and played a few shows with Daniel and the short lived blues/rock band, The Mean Soulfuls.
Erik is continuously writing an recording new music. Keep an eye out for new instrumental tracks soon,
