Dirty Bird is an indie-rock band, comprised of members from across the New Jersey-Pennsylvania area.
Alex DeSimine, hailing from Princeton Junction, NJ, enchants both audiences and reptiles alike, his voice like that of a masterful snake charmer. He is the primary song-writer and lead singer, and plays guitar and keys, depending on the needs of the song.
Alex Tremitiere, of Newtown, PA, sports locks Rapunzel herself has described as “incredibly beautiful and long…to the point of envy. I’m amazed there aren’t any bird’s nests!” She plays not only her left-handed bass, but also her ambidextrous vocal chords.
Zach “Papa” Moses, from the fires of Bucks County, PA, plays guitar, sings harmonies, and woos ladies left and right with the luscious lettuce atop his head.
Grayson Kohs, is famous in his hometown of Haddonfield, NJ for playing drums with enough technical prowess and unadulterated soul to melt steel.
Before forming Dirty Bird, they all met as students of the School of Rock. Individually as students in the program, they have accumulated over four years of experience, playing live in front of crowds and collectively sharing the stage with rock greats like Jon Anderson of Yes and John Wetton of King Crimson. After playing everywhere from New York to California to Texas to Germany, the formidable foursome decided it was finally time to team up and take the world on with original music that would make grown men cry and newborn children grow beards.
